AT THE AIRPORT
- The time it takes from downtown Guayaquil (where most hotels are located) to the Guayaquil airport (there is only one) is about 20 minutes.
- Please be at the airport (National departures) two hours before the time of your flight.
- Once you arrive at the airport you must go direct to “INGALA” to pay your Galapagos transit card (USD $ 20.00)
- Check your luggage at SIGAL
- Then you have to go to the AIRLINE to check your flight, with your passport or identity card and get your boarding pass.
WHAT TO BRING
- Baggage allowance limit (23 kilos) and a hand bag of (5 kilos)
- Sportswear, tennis shoes, bathing suit, insect repellent (bug spray), sunscreen (sun- block), sunglasses, windbreaker jacket, sweater.
- Please bring your medications often used
WEATHER
- Hot season: from December to May, where the humidity is high with temperatures around 26-30º C or 78.8-86ºF (warm, sunny days)
- Dry season: from June to November, you may feel some cool winds during the day and the weather cools down at late afternoon, the temperature is around 20-24º C or 68-75.2º F
- Low Season: from 01 May to 14 June and from September 15 to October 31, peak season the rest of the year.
ISLAND
- The flight from Guayaquil to the Galapagos Islands is 1.5 hour. There is also a time difference of one hour between mainland Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, with the Galapagos 1 hour behind the mainland.
- Upon arrival at the airport in the Galapagos , you must pay the entrance fee to the Galapagos National Park

- Personal items such as cameras, video recorders, laptops, cell phones, valuables belongings, and luggage in general are under entire responsibility of the passenger, Galasam and his team of guides is not responsible for loss, theft or damage of them.

- Remember that the Galapagos Islands are a natural heritage site, for that reason you won`t find the same facilities as mainland Ecuador.
