F-111 - Sweat Shirt Colour:Black 1 from 15 Squadron inGeneral Dynamics F 111 Aardvark The F 111 entered service in 1967 as an interdictor, fighter bomber and strategic bomber. The F 111 pioneered new technologies such as variable sweep wings, afterburning turbo fan engines and terrain following radar for low level tasks at high speed. Having served in Vietnam and the Gulf war the Aardvark retired in 1996. The Royal Australian Air Force continued to use the aircraft up until 2010.
