There is superb complexity and fantastic length and this mineral-driven effort should be capable of drinking well after only 12 years or so of bottle age but require a solid 20 before it’s completely mature

which were aged exclusively in French oak because of the tiny quantities of those wines

An attractively spicy, elegant and admirably pure nose of fresh red pinot fruit, blue berry and a bit of oak gives way to beautifully textured middle weight flavors that also terminate in a finish that displays a mild dryness though here its less pronounced. I suspect that it is again the abundant gas. (89 91) 2018+
