Description
late 19th or early 20th century I believe
and composition as a whole
but the metal appears to be in excellent condition and I do think would shine up some if desired
I love the triangle formed by the three figures coming together--the outstretched arms of the little girl on one side
A Case of Necessity Box of Safety Pins Antique Postcard pill box late 19th or early 20thTerrific graphics on this punny antique postcard produced by the J. I Austen Company, Chicago, which made some good ones! C. 1910 or so I believe. Hard to beat that green box with red liner and perfectly lined up safety pins and pretty clever too. 3 1 2" x 5 1 2" and in very good, unused condition. A bit of foxing staining visible on the background, pretty minor.
