AM's Boys in Red and Orange: Small Framed Antique Pennsylvania Fraktur Type Watercolor smiling snowman 11 15/16" l x 7"I purchased this small watercolor from a dealer in Pennsylvania, about 2 minutes after it appeared on Ebay I believe. And Pennsylvania is certainly where it was made, quintessential Fraktur style naive watercolor, c. 1860s 80s I believe. Nothing I love more than a watercolor drawing like this, and a what a pair these two boys in their rich red tunics and orange pants and bright yellow collars with blue ties, heads together as if conspiring.
