Jean-Claude Bachelet, Chassagne Montrachet Boudriotte Blanc other_regions_australia 2002 was an easy vintage(from 60+ year old vines in Les Chaumes). Discreet wood frames the ripe aromas of rosemary oil, white peach and again a whiff of petrol character. The medium weight flavors are not quite as dense yet theyre even more powerful while concluding in a wonderfully long and sappy if borderline tannic finale that flirts with rusticity. This wont win any awards for refinement but its really quite good.
